​Backpack Food Program. In cooperation with other area groups, Mt. Horeb helps provide South River Elementary School students with backpacks with food for the weekend throughout the school year. They get easy-to-prepare food along with fresh fruit to help them get through the weekends. Church members place bags of food in backpacks for children to pick up on Friday afternoons. They also provide other items to help meet seasonal needs throughout the year.
